Scrubs

Today I got my uniforms for nursing school!!!

They are a lovely eggplant purple color, and the pants are not super flattering but as nursing student Kaitlin ( that's me in my scrubs) said to me thru the mirror, "It's not a fashion show, we're here to save lives!!!"

I also got my nursing tools today, a stethoscope, and forsnips and such. I walked around the house with my stethoscope around my neck (just like the real nurses do) and I tried to listen to Sheldon's heart beat but unfortunately he wasn't a very cooperative patient!!!
When Ryan came home I showed him my scrubs and listened to his heart and then showed him how to use the stethoscope!!! Which is a major accomplishment if you read an earlier blog post from my A&P class where I struggled with that!!!!Then I made up weird little scenarios about what might happen when I start working in the hospital, most of these were based on things seen on television and may or may not have any actual reality associated with them! HAHAHA!!!

I think it's safe to say I'm pretty excited about starting my nursing studies! I know that it's going to be hard, every person I talk to about it tells me how hard it is!!! But I know that it will also be rewarding. I will just have to try and remember how excited I am right now when things are hard on down the road!
Nursing Student Kaitlin comes with here very own stethoscope

Happy New Year 2013!!!

2012 is gone, see ya' later, done-zo, so long, Adios...

2012 had some amazing moments: I became a wife, got a dog, graduated from OTC, and was accepted into nursing school!!!

With all the awesome things that happened 2013 has some big shoes to fill, but I have a feeling that this year is going to be the most amazing year yet!!!

I am truly blessed!!
Happy New Year
